English general. He invited FH to a memorable dinner, where he applied FH's dictum that 'there must be something strange in any excelling beauty' to the meal. The 'something strange' turned out to be milk caviare, sent to Dickson by the Russian Czar, who enjoyed exclusive rights to this delicacy.
