Journalist and author. Scully was FH's secretary from about 1930 until his death. A somewhat dubious and unlucky character - his health record included loss of one of his legs and a lung - who claimed to have written both Bernard Shaw and On the Trail.

Scully's later literary career included such masterpieces as Fun in Bed and Behind the Flying Saucers, which asserted that flying saucers were real and came from Venus.
